Why choose a mini newborn session over a full session?
Sometimes, life doesn’t give you hours to spare for a full photoshoot, and that’s where my mini newborn sessions come in! Perfect for parents who want beautiful newborn photos without the commitment of a full-length session. Whether you’re working with a budget or simply short on time, these sessions are designed to be quick, stress-free, and full of gorgeous moments, lasting no longer than 60 minutes.
As a parent myself, I know how hectic the first few weeks can be. Sleepless nights, endless cuddles, and an ever-growing to-do list, it’s a lot! That’s exactly why I created these mini sessions: to offer a simple, easy way to capture your baby’s earliest memories without the added stress or time commitment of a longer shoot.
During the mini session, we’ll spend up to 60 minutes (depending on the option you choose) capturing your baby in a variety of simple, natural poses—whether they’re wrapped up snugly or placed gently on the table. The best part? We don’t need your little one to be in a deep sleep to get those precious photos, meaning less time spent settling them and more time spent capturing the magic.

A Typical Nottingham Mini Newborn Photography Session Includes the Following…
My mini newborn sessions are all about simplicity and capturing the most precious moments in a short and sweet amount of time. These sessions are designed to be quick and stress-free, so we keep them short and simple. Your baby will be photographed clothed, wrapped, or in a nappy for the duration of the session.
If you choose Option Two, the package with up to 60 minutes. I can include siblings or parents in the photos, but only if there’s enough time at the end of the session. I aim to keep everything simple and relaxed, even for family photos, so we won’t rush through anything.
For the mini session, I’ll primarily focus on capturing your baby in a wrap or lying comfortably on their back. This is the easiest and safest way to pose newborns during a shorter session. Plus, it allows us to get beautiful shots, even if your little one is a little older or has some wind!
While we won’t have time for many extravagant setups, there’s still room to get creative.
For example, if you’d like, I can take adorable shots like this one where your baby’s dressed as a bumblebee! Just keep in mind that we won’t have the time to do everything we might in a full session.

What Happens
After the session?
Once your session is done, I know you’ll be excited to see those beautiful photos! Depending on the package you’ve chosen, I’ll either pick your photos and send them to you directly, or I’ll invite you back to select them yourself.

If you’d prefer to keep your images private, no worries at all, just let me know beforehand.
For those who’ve selected the mini collection, I’ll typically schedule a viewing appointment around 1-2 weeks after your session, where you’ll get to see your full gallery.
I’ll guide you through the process and offer my professional advice, but there’s never any pressure to buy. I want you to enjoy the entire experience, stress-free.

Felt more like having a friend taking photos rather than a serious photo shoot. After seeing just a few sneak peak photos from our wedding yesterday, we’re already over the moon with how amazing the photos are!

Rachael recently photographed my friends wedding, Rachael was amazing, the photograph quality is superb, her creative vision is truly unique. Loved that some images were available to preview during the day! She was none intrusive throughout the day so managed to capture some lovely candid shots, but equally managed to direct us efficiently for the staged photos. Highly recommend.
