Why choose a mini newborn session over a full session?

As a parent myself, I know that those first few weeks with a newborn can be a whirlwind of emotions and sleepless nights. That’s why I’ve designed these mini-sessions to be a quick and easy way to capture some beautiful photos of your newborn without the need for a full newborn session.

With my mini newborn sessions, we’ll spend up to 60 minutes, depending on which option you choose.
photographing your baby in a variety of simple and natural poses on the table or simply wrapped.
We don’t need a completely drunk baby for these types of photos, so we won’t have to spend as much time settling them, which means we can get right into it.

A TYPICAL NOTTINGHAM MINI NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING…

I want to point out that these sessions are designed to be kept short and simple, and I keep them clothed, wrapped or in a nappy for the duration.
I would only offer to add siblings or parents in the photo when choosing option two – the package with up to 60 minutes and only if there is enough time remaining at the end of the session as ill keep them simple too.

I’ll focus on capturing your baby in a wrap or laying on their back during the session because this is the easiest and safest way to pose newborns during a mini-session with the amount of time given.
This also ensures that we can get great shots even if your baby is a little older or has some wind.
I can still have the opportunity to get a little creative like this photo as a bumble bee if this is something you like, But please keep in mind we won’t have enough time to do everything in a mini-session.

WHAT HAPPENS

After the session?

After your session with me, a specialist newborn photographer in Mansfield, Nottingham, I know you will be keen to see some photos and depending on which package option you have chosen means ill be picking your photos and sending them directly to you or inviting you back to choose them yourself.

If you’re happy for me to put your sneaky peek on socials, then there could be a free print up for grabs for you, too – see the post for more details. If you wish to keep your images private, this is no problem. Just inform me of this beforehand.

 

If you have chosen the mini collection one then I typically scheduled you back in around 1-2 weeks after the session date to see your gallery.

I will help you the best that I can. Please note that I am just there to advise you from my professional point of view, and there is never any hard sell. I want you to enjoy the whole experience.

Hi, I’m Rachael, a specialist newborn photographer in Nottingham. I’d love to welcome you to my purpose-built photography studio for newborn photography in Mansfield, Nottingham.

Photographing a newborn baby gives me the chance to create the most beautiful memories for them. 

I am able to photograph emotion, love and new beginnings!
It allows me to freeze time within that photo, these are moments to treasure, and I love what I do.
