Eastwood Hall Wedding | James & Jade

 Nottingham wedding photographer

Happy couple in garden, man carries woman joyfully.

Their Big day!

Congratulations to James and Jade!

I was invited along to capture their wedding; it was a Handfasting blessing ceremony at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham.

Handfastings are commonly used in Wiccan and Pagan ceremonies.
What is Hand-fasting, you ask – well, Hand-fasting is an ancient Celtic/Medieval custom, especially common in Ireland and Scotland, in which two people came together at the start of their marriage relationship to declare their own free will that they intended to marry.
Today handfasting is more literal: a couple will bind their hands together during the wedding ceremony.

EASTWOOD HALL

Quote from their website –  “Eastwood Hall, tradition, style and quality are only surpassed by the most breathtaking and charming views in Nottingham. Set in over 26 acres of spectacular grounds, this property with history is the perfect choice for couples looking for something very special”

Moments

It was very relaxed and quite different to what I’m used to photographing, You must keep a good distance away, but it’s nice to be different and it was very interesting to observe, It really was nice to be a part of it.

With it being outside and the forecast of rain we all had our fingers crossed it wouldn’t pore down, luckily the rain was very light and held off until we left, they were hand-tied all day and couldn’t be untied until the sun went down.
