 Big day!

I am thrilled to share with you the wonderful wedding of Krystal and Lloyd at The Royal Arms in Leicester. As a Mansfield-based photographer, being part of this joyous occasion was not only an honour but also a heartwarming experience, as Krystal and Lloyd are not just clients, but dear friends.

You know, there’s something incredibly special about being chosen to capture the most important moments in the lives of friends. When Krystal, someone I’ve known for what feels like a lifetime, entrusted me with her wedding photography, I was bursting with joy. It’s a humbling experience when your work is valued and respected by those who know you so well.

Allow me to tell you about their day.

Oh, now let me tell you about the weather. Mother Nature had her own ideas for the day, remember those months where we has so much rain and it didnt really let up much, well this wedding was during those times. We kept dodging raindrops and sidestepping soggy grass. But Krystal and Lloyd? They didn’t let a bit of rain dampen their spirits. To ensure Krystal stayed high and dry, we even had to get a board for her to stand on – a creative solution that turned into a charming detail in the photos. And here’s where the magic of preparation comes in – I always keep a trusty white umbrella in the boot of my car. Let me tell you, that umbrella came to the rescue more times than I can count that day!

Heartfelt Mementos and Unforgettable Moments

Krystal and Lloyd’s wedding was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and just the right touch of quirkiness. Let me take you on a journey to The Royal Arms in Leicester, a hidden gem that hosted this unforgettable celebration. Picture this: a charming venue, intimate in size but big on character. If you’re looking to share your special day with a close-knit group, this place is pure magic. But don’t let its cosy atmosphere fool you – they’ve got a spacious marquee for those moments when you want to go all out!

Set against the backdrop of a delightful little pub, The Royal Arms comes complete with cosy rooms for your wedding party and guests. Parking? Plenty. Surrounding the venue, you’ll find a picturesque cornfield, inviting gardens, and a sprawling field at the back. And let’s not forget those inviting barn doors – I couldn’t resist the urge to capture the happy couple against this rustic backdrop. A bit of car shuffling later, and those doors were all theirs. Sometimes, you’ve got to do a little car ballet to get the shot!

HILARIOUS MOMENTS

Now, let me share a hilarious moment that truly captures the essence of the day. During a photoshoot with smoke bombs and the bridal party, we had an unexpected guest – an “unofficial” bridesmaid who had been a rockstar helper throughout the day. She took spontaneity to a new level by playfully sneaking under the bride’s dress! The reaction? Pure gold. Giggles, laughter, and an unforgettable memory. Because let’s face it, some of the most precious moments are the unscripted ones.

Moments

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I needed a little hand testing my lights. In walked Ivan, a little bundle of energy and enthusiasm. With arms raised high, he eagerly stepped in to help. When I showed him the resulting photo, his wide-eyed “wow, is that me” moment lit up the evening even more. It’s these candid connections that make each wedding unique and special.

GOOSEBUMPS

But wait, there’s more. Ever had a moment that sends goosebumps racing down your arms? During the first dance, I noticed some curious marks on my photos. Naturally, I cleaned my lens, only to see those marks reappear when I captured just the couple. It was like a dance of light and mystery. When I shared these photos with Krystal, something remarkable happened. She felt it in her heart – the presence of her late father and brother, watching over her on this momentous day. Sometimes, the universe works in beautifully mysterious ways.

DANCE FLOOR

Krystal and Lloyd’s wedding was a joyful symphony of laughter, love, and shared moments. Our bond added an extra layer of ease and comfort to their experience in front of the camera. They even threw in some playful games that had their guests roaring with laughter. As I reflect on this heartwarming day, I’m reminded that weddings are not just about the vows and the cake. They’re about the people, the stories, and the tiny details that paint a bigger picture.

So, there you have it – a glimpse into a wedding that truly touched my heart. Krystal and Lloyd, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day. As I continue to capture these special moments, I’m reminded that every story is unique, every smile holds a story, and every memory deserves to be cherished.

Until next time, stay blessed and keep smiling!
