Capturing Love and Laughter: Rick and Sam’s Wedding at The Cockliffe Country House

Their Big day!
Oh my goodness, I can hardly contain my excitement as I sit down to write about Sam and Rick’s wedding day at The Cockliffe Country House in Nottingham.
Allow me to tell you about their day.
Despite the rain, their wedding was a beautiful event full of love and laughter. I’m honoured to have been a part of their special day as a Nottingham wedding photographer.
Every moment, from the beautiful ceremony to the fun-filled reception, was simply unforgettable.
I knew this was going to be a memorable day from the moment I arrived at their home for bridal prep.
Sam was glowing and very relaxed as she got ready with her mother and daughter by her side. Not to mention the true stars of the show, their adorable twins, who stole my heart from the moment I met them.
Felicity, in particular, was super cute, putting her arms up to me to pick her up during the ceremony. How could I say no to such a lovely little thing? But was it cuddles or photos?
One of my strict instructions was to take as many photos of the twins as possible, even if it was during the first kiss, luckily they were quite happy with balloons and grandparents at this point so I was able to capture Mum and Dad’s first kiss with no interruptions.
COCKLIFFE COUNTRY HOUSE
Dating back to 1678, Cockliffe House is situated in the heart of Nottinghamshire countryside, but only 10 minute’s drive from Nottingham City Centre,

I couldn’t help but feel like I was a part of something truly special as we made our way to the lovely Cockliffe Country House in Nottingham. The Wedding venue was absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was intimate and romantic with only their closest friends and family in attendance. Even when the rain began to fall, Sam and Rick didn’t let it dampen their spirits; instead, they embraced it and rushed outside for some impromptu photo opportunities!
That’s the kind of adventurous spirit I love to see in my clients.

And while we’re on the subject of photos, let me tell you, I got some absolute gems at this wedding. Sam looked stunning in her dress, and Rick complemented her perfectly in his suave suit. But the twins truly stole the show in every single shot. They were simply too adorable to describe! And when it came time to hit the dance floor, I was dead set on getting some truly epic shots.
I’ve been working on perfecting my dance floor start burst photos, and I have to say, this time I really outdid myself. The effect was dramatic and exciting, just like the energy of this spectacular wedding day.

All in all, I feel so blessed to have been a part of their wedding day. It was a day filled with joy, love, and adventure, and I feel so lucky to have been able to capture those moments for them to treasure forever.
Congratulations to the happy couple and their beautiful family – here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!
